Chrissie Grainger
My background, prior to 2020, is in law and legal services, having qualified as a solicitor in 2006. In 2020, during the pandemic and after some time of reflection, I chose to embark on a new career in teaching. I am now a qualified primary school teacher, and I believe the skills and experiences from both of these professions are invaluable in my role as Governor.
Outside of work, I sing with the Rawstorne Singers, a local choir (which I have been a member of since I was 12) and I have been its Treasurer since 2009.
I consider my role of Governor to be one of support to the Senior Leadership, but also accountability, and to challenge decisions if necessary.
I am a governor who is also a parent, and both of my children go to Little Hoole, so I am delighted to be able to give something back and I am very proud to represent the school.
